We publish to help readers complete a task or make a sound decision. We do not add material merely to reach a word count or publish across unrelated topics for search traffic.
Sources and review
Safety-sensitive and technical claims should be supported by current university Extension, government, standards, manufacturer, or other qualified primary sources. Sources are listed at the end of researched guides. Local codes, climate, veterinary advice, and product labels take precedence where applicable.
Firsthand experience
We label firsthand observations only when they come from actual use, measurements, records, photographs, or work performed by the author. We do not convert general research into invented personal stories. Product reviews should explain what was examined, how it was used or compared, and meaningful drawbacks.
AI-assisted work
AI tools may assist with outlines, grammar, summarization, formatting, code, and identifying questions a guide should answer. They do not replace source verification or authorize fabricated experience. A human publisher is responsible for the final page. Substantive field review and original evidence are added as they become available.
Corrections and updates
We correct material errors promptly and add an updated date when a substantive revision changes the guidance. Publication dates are not changed merely to make an older page appear fresh. Readers can report concerns to privacy@thetinyacre.com.
