Overview
The Tiny Acre respects your privacy. This policy explains the information processed when you visit thetinyacre.com, subscribe to email, use location-based weather, contact us, or purchase a product through a third-party checkout.
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Information you provide
When you subscribe, you may provide your email address and optional first name. When you contact us, we receive the information in your message. Purchases are processed by the checkout provider identified at checkout; The Tiny Acre does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Information processed automatically
Our hosting and service providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs. The site stores your consent preferences and a short-lived weather result in your browser local storage.
If you permit browser geolocation, coordinates are used to request local weather and a nearby place name. The Tiny Acre does not receive or retain those coordinates on its own server. You may deny or revoke location access through your browser.
How information is used
We use information to deliver newsletters and requested downloads, operate and secure the site, respond to messages, remember privacy preferences, provide local weather, understand performance when optional analytics is enabled, process purchases, and comply with law.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently use cross-context behavioral advertising. If these practices change, this policy and the consent controls will be updated before the relevant technology is enabled.
Service providers
GitHub Pages hosts the static website. Cloudflare processes newsletter and contact-form requests through our Worker and delivers contact-form messages through Email Routing. Kit manages newsletter subscriptions and email communications. Open-Meteo provides weather data, and BigDataCloud provides a nearby place name after location permission. Google supplies web fonts. A commerce provider such as Kit and Stripe may process future product purchases under its own privacy terms.
Email choices and retention
Every marketing email should include an unsubscribe link. You may unsubscribe at any time. We retain subscriber information while you remain subscribed and as reasonably necessary for records, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Our service providers may retain information under their own policies.
Your privacy choices

To make a privacy request, email privacy@thetinyacre.com. We may need to verify a request and may retain information where legally required.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to this small informational website, but no online transmission or storage method is guaranteed secure. Providers may process information in the United States or other countries under their own safeguards and legal obligations.
